Ice Hockey Recognizes Seniors In Last Home Game

Bridgeport, CT-  Before SHU’s final home contest of the 2018-2019 season, the Pioneers recognized seniors Konrad Nevers, Brandon Rozzi, Frank Vetere, Brandon Asgeirsson, and Jack Pardue in their last regular season game. All five have participated in the SHU club ice hockey program since their freshman year and have made great contributions to the team, both on and off the ice.

The first period was scoreless with both teams trading possession back and forth the first 20 minutes. Bryant came out strong in the second, picking up 2 goals in the first 5 minutes. SHU was able to get on the board with a goal from freshman Shane Wilkinson about half way through the period. Junior Drew Homola picked up a goal in his 4th consecutive game to tie the score. Bryant picked up another to close the second period and go into intermission up 3-2. In the third period, SHU tied the score with a goal from sophomore Ryan Gawricki. Another strong performance from senior goaltender Brandon Rozzi kept the game tied through the remainder of regulation and overtime to finish the game with a 3-3 tie.
