The Club Figure Skating team placed Fourth Overall this past weekend at the US Figure Skating Sectional qualifying competition at the University of Delaware. Several members of the team had key performances that pushed them through the competition. Simona Lee was specifically singled out by Coach Fedick as she earned 8 points for her dances. She placed third in the Junior Short Program, fourth in the Junior Championship Freeskate and fourth in the Juvenile Solo Dance.
Congratulations to the Sacred Heart University Figure Skating club team for finishing fifth overall at their first collegiate competition of the season at MIT in Boston. The team competed amongst the 30 collegiate figure skating teams in the eastern conference. Some of the featured skaters that assisted in the teams’ placement were freshmen, Tessa Peredy and Ruby Jusas, as well as Senior Helen Serafini. The team will compete in two more competitions, next month, at Liberty University and at the University of Delaware.
